As an artist and designer Ross’ practice circles around themes of waste/use, community, and care. Hosting spaces He looks to capture and encourage distinct perspectives through playful, collaborative methods, including; typography, table tennis, traditional craft, wood-work, pickling & fermenting, creative writing and printing techniques, amongst others.
Based in Sheffield Ross collaborates with communities and projects across the country.

2022 → Grizedale Arts Residency. 2 week volunteer residency with rural arts organisation in Lake District.
2022 → Bacteria Club (Site Gallery) working with the Society of Explorers to develop workshops and a collected thinking around our microbial relationships.
2021 → Wetlab (Leeds & Liverpool Canal, various locations, UK). Imagining new futures for our waterways using current and traditional technologies. Commissioned by AND festival, Wigan Council, and Super Slow Way.
2021 → Social Pickle (Sheffield, UK) Surplus and preservation project challenging market capitalism.
2020 → Portland Project, the Portland Pigeon. (Stoke-on-Trent, UK) Co-design workshops and branding.
2019 → La Foresta (Rovereto, IT). Fermentation workshops and compost toilet design + co-build.

2017 - 2018 → Not a Sausage (London & Sussex, UK) Vegan sausage business to shake up the banger market.
2016 → The Knowledge Commons (Roskilde, Denmark) Europe’s 2nd largest festival, using the commons resources to create collective waste rugs.
2016 → Garden_lab (London, UK) Designing tools to observe the social and biological ecology of the garden.
2015 - 2017 → Serve & Return (London, UK) Community Ping Pong Parlour. Designed and built with surplus materials.
2014 → Parasol shared sandwiches - Manchester College of Art. Food workshop hosting the creative leaders from each UK university.
2014 → Royal College of Art (London, UK) WIP workshop starter barter. workshopping with architecture students to think about alternative currencies, value systems and collective economics.
2014 → Function & Purpose printing Nature. (London, UK) In collaboration with Ben Pritchard as part of New Cross and Deptford Free Film Festival.
2014 → New Perspectives: A Celebration at Balfron Tower for British Council. (London, UK) An architectural construction game utilising waste and talking about high rise lives.
2014 → Registration School (London, UK). Summer School founder, lecturer, production / programming /design.
2014 → Pick Me Up Festival, Somerset House (London, UK), Offcuts game and workshop with Assembly. A game using waste as the beginning to creativity
2013 → Colony – Anarch Gallery (London, UK). Discussions and open library thinking about currencies throughout time, new ideas for trade.
2013 → Milton Keynes Art Centre (Buckinghamshire, UK) Residency working from a neglected community centre in Coffee Hall. Building table tennis tables, protest poster workshop, ceramics and shared recipe exchanges.
