Ross Bennett is an artist and designer based in England. His work explores the social life and care that exists around making and playing. Much of Ross’ work is focused on facilitating, the communicating and realising of ideas. Working with groups and individuals creating temporary projects ‘utopias’ that aim to puncture the contemporary reality and imagine new worlds into being.
He has a professional art & design practice working with cultural institutions internationally and has shown work, delivered workshops and designed projects with: Arts Catalyst, Abandon Normal Devices, British Design Council, County Hall Pottery, Portland Inn Project, Milton Keynes Arts Centre, University of the Arts London, The Showroom, Goldsmiths University, Super Slow Way, Rule of Threes, Roskilde Festival, University of Sheffield.
He is currently developing Sheffield Artist Maker Exchange, a community making provision aiming to nurture and inspire a new generation of makers and creative businesses whilst contributing to a sustainable relationship with the things we use.
